Concert Band
Chorus
Middle School Band is a yearlong course open to students in grades 7-8 who are interested in a performance-oriented class in concert band, jazz and pep band music. Prior instrumental knowledge preferred. All students are encouraged to participate in pep band that performs at local and sporting events. Students have the opportunity to perform in other music festivals throughout the year (Middle School Honors Band and Northern District Middle School Festival). Attending all concert performances is a course requirement. Lessons will also be given to all band members throughout the year.
Middle School Chorus is a yearlong course open to students in grades 7-8 who are interested in a performance-oriented class in choral music. No audition necessary. Students have the opportunity to perform in other festivals (Northern District Middle School Festival). Attending all concert performances is a course requirement.

General Music
Ukulele is a semester long course open to students in grades 7-8 who are interested in learning about the history and the performance techniques. Some of the topics that the students will learn are how to read standard music notation as well as tabs, different strumming techniques, ear training and improvisation. No prior knowledge needed and instrument will be provided for in-class use.
